Listening on C-SPAN radio, about 13 minutes in. It's getting cringeworthy already. :?

Yup. Personal attacks, platitudes, campaign buzz words and absolute pander.

Is it one shot or two every time McCain says "My friends"?

Just tuned in... what cringeworthy things did I miss?

Just keep listening. They'll repeat them all again. And again. And again.

I love the cheap shots.
A simple answer to "What sacrifices" would have been "live within your means".
But that's why I won't be a politician.
And I figured McCain would be the first to us 9/11. Obama is bumming Rudy's playbook.

Yeah, but McCain pulled a high-school level debate blunder already, one that has nothing to do with substance: "I want to go back to the previous question ..." You just can't do that.

Tom Brokaw, takin' control.
Geez... he seems pissed...

Wouldn't you be listening to these two?

"We have to sit down together, as Americans, across the table ..." AAAAACK
Up until that last question about unfunded entitlement liabilities, Obama was doing a far better job than McCain of answering the questions actually asked, and piercing right through them to the concerns behind the questions.

The more I listen the more I get the feeling that the Republicans are biding their time until they can reanimate Reagan and cure Alzheimer's...

Prediction: Hospitals will be overrun with alcohol poisoning cases from people who included the phrase 'my friends' in their drinking games.

Has McCain contradicted himself about three times talking about nuclear power?

No kidding. I could be playing that game with 3.2% beer and still be on the verge of needing my stomach pumped.
The surprise of the night on the drinking game score, however, has been how seldom Obama has said the phrase "George Bush" or "President Bush." Only two or three times so far, by my count.

someone wake me up if either of them eats a baby..

Late addition to the drinking game: anytime the moderator has to issue a time warning.

"You know who voted for that? That one?" I think McCain is taking a page out of Palin's playbook and dropping the g's at the end of words.

McCain sounds nervous to me.
Got a bit of chuckle when Obama said "one of the wheels has come off the straight talk express."
Also, if you watch on CNN, I have to say that when Obama talks it goes way positive and when McCain talks it is either slightly positive or negative. FWIW, which may not be much.

Some of these audience questions are ridiculous.
"I don't trust either party. Why should I trust either of you with my money." what the heck is either candidate supposed to say to that?

The boy had to go play guitar hero. I just keep screaming at the TV and in turn at him and I guess I'm annoying. I'm annoyed with the weirdos ASKING the questions. Who are these people?
