I just acquired a 2006 Honda Elite 80 with just under 200 miles. Once warmed up, it purrs like a kitten, but the process of getting it to start and remain running is a 2-hour ordeal. I think it just needs some minor carb cleaning and adjustments because it did sit sad and lonely in a garage for about 3 years. Any recommendations for a good scooter mechanic?

Call Capital City Scooters on Summit. They're the best.

My husband. PM me for a phone number if interested. He's a sports car mechanic by day but he freelances on motorcycles and scooters. He has a vintage Vespa himself as well as a couple of BMW motorcycles.

Capital City, for sure. Though, Susan, I am sure your husband is super-qualified, also!

I picked up my scooter today from Capital City and it starts like a champ. Caitlin and Chris are super-duper nice and helpful.
