Does anyone know why there isn't a weekly / weekend farmers market in Schiller Park? It seems like German Villagers and businesses would be happy to have one, and there is plenty of space to set one up. Is there a parking issue, or something else I'm not thinking of?

There's already a farmer's market in GV and Schiller is not particularly conducive to one anyway. I would like to see one set up in the Mannerchor lot though.

Does anyone know how the GV market is? I read about it in the last edible columbus but haven't actually been able to find the market!

Just saw this update for it!
SPECIAL FEATURE during FARM MARKET at KIGHT STUDIO 551 on Saturday, August 20th, 9 A.M. - Noon: You will see handmade aprons from Kenya blowing in the breeze under the trees at 551 S. Fifth Street during Farmer John's weekly summer Saturday farm market. (In the event of unfavorable weather, they will be blown by a fan inside the art studio.) It's not too early to start your holiday shopping now! And Farmer John's homemade preserves and noodles make wonderful gifts as well.Posted 9 months ago # -
551 S. Fifth Street is close to Jackson. I think it is a block or two south of Livingston.
