Things starting to get confirmed all over the place and I’m happy to be able to announce today that the Pabst Blue Rendezvous will be taking place on Saturday, Sept. 12th from 2-8pm in the Fireproof Storage parking lot at 2nd Ave. and High St. Props to the Columbus Underground community for recommending this spot.
We’re gonna have 12 bands rotating on two stages; eight artists creating live art (inspired by PBR) throughout the event; food by RadDog and zPizza; Wholly Craft will be out there selling cute stuff; other fun interactive elements. More vendors to be announced!
And of course, PBR! All proceeds from beer sales will benefit the Columbus Music Co-op and Junctionview’s Couchfire Collective.
Bike corral brought to you by Paradise Garage. Bike it or bus it!
Here are the bands:
Periodic Table of Elephants
Monolithic Cloud Parade
Trains Across The Sea
Nick Tolford and Co.
Shin Tower Music
Fisted Mister
The Bygones
State School
Day Creeper
The Lindsay
The Randys
Flu Faker
Set times, poster and website coming early next week! We'll also announce all the artists who will be involved and I'm sure some more fun stuff will get locked down between now and then.
Finally, thanks to our awesome PBR pals at Pi A/V, Central City Recording, The Guitar Shoppe, Bodega, Surly Girl Saloon, CD101, and The Other Paper. They all had a hand in making this party a reality.
Get excited!
YOU JUST SHUT THE HELL UP WITH THIS!!!!
That sounds AWESOME. I can't wait.
Life in this freakin city just gets cooler by the week.
Thanks!
Oh...do you guys need any volunteer help?
Yeah I would be down for Volunteering.
We'll definitely need volunteers - thanks for asking - the CMC girls are in charge of that. I imagine they will be posting sometime soon with details on how you can help.
Eriiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
If you need someone to work the entrance gate again, I'm so down!
Or I'll do whatever else you want me to do. :)
Lew, I signed up a few weeks ago to work the gate if you wanna be my volunteer partner!
Word. I'm all ovah it.
Yeah, the PBRrt party was awesome. I'm def there!
oooh, walking distance.
and i know not everyone is into ye olde college football, but I think we have just established the best place to 'tailgate' prior to the 8:00pm nationally televised USC game. and if they get clubbed again, i'll at least have fond memories of the big fun party. and now that i think of it, there should be a blimp in town. this is shaping up great!
Dru, this is a fabulous idea. Do Barackaritas and football go together? Hmmmmm, the wheels are churning.
oh yes volunteers!
we need:
set up
front gate
bar
floaters
tear down
email columbusmusiccoop@gmail.com if you wanna sign up.
:)
I love that this is the exact same time as a doubleheader of football watching (Notre Dame-Michigan, and then USC Strikes Back), but most people don't care about football anyway.
bar!

Is OSU-USC tailgating allowed?
Sure, OSU-USC people are more than welcome to party with us... our only rule is "no jerkheads" - I'm assuming this won't apply to you and yours :)
