Submorphics

Submorphics is Chicago-based producer and lifetime musician Greg Axelrad. Originally a duo consisting of Greg (samples, synths, basslines, live keys and guitar, arrangement, sequencing) and longtime friend Ryan Lolas
(drum programming, engineering, edits) late 2006 saw Greg taking full control over the project as a solo artist.

Drawing on influences such as soul, rare groove, jazz, hip hop, 70s rock, deep house and film soundtracks, Submorphics' eclectic musical DnB output has received widespread global support from artists such as Makoto, Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Marky, Danny Byrd, Big Bud, Alix Perez, Artificial Intelligence and many more. Stunna

Hailing from the Windy City, STUNNA (J. Cappo) has been deeply immersed in the Chicago music scene for many years. Schooled in piano study from an early age, his love of jazz music turned him on to the sounds of HERBIE HANCOCK, especially his early-70's work with synthesizers and electronics. At the age of 12, STUNNA acquired a drum machine and an 8-bit sampling keyboard and began to experiment with the jazzier sounds he'd listened to and also with the current sounds of Chicago House that was at the time, in its formative years. I'll be moving back to the east coast early in May. I hope that lots of you can make it out as this will, in all likelihood, be my last DJ set in CBus for quite some time.

It's been real but all good things must come to an end. ;)
