This may come as sort of a weird question, perhaps even more weird than my previous bodies of water in Columbus thread. Any how, I need sand. Don't care where, don't really care in what quantity. Just need a fair amount of sand and direct sunlight.

North OSU Campus just east of the architecture building there are some beach volleyball lots. Nothing like coed is bikinis playing beach volleyball to make the blood flow

That's funny, because that's is what I thought was one of the better aspects of this beach. I thought the sand and the water were pretty clean. Maybe you were there on an off-day.
I remember being horrified by the dirtyness of the water and the sand at the pier in Santa Monica. You'd be crazy to walk around even in flip-flops there.
