For over a decade, The Hills Market (315, just north of I-270) has been hosting a Salmon Roast on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. This annual event features an ever-increasing amount of fresh North Atlantic salmon (this year, we're ordering 750 pounds) grilled and served sandwich-style with Hills Own Coleslaw for $7.50. This party in the parking lot also includes a steel drum band (Tropical Nights), a wide variety of beers and wines, Boar's Head Hot Dogs and ice cream from Velvet. The event is free to the public and runs from 11.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Hills delivers some great events.
Friday Wine tastings start this Friday (May 23rd)
The Spanish Wine and Cheese Tasting is this Thursday May 29th - it is a great night of wine, cheese, and appetizers. I am going ( I have been to every one this year.)
I am allergic to Salmon and I am going tomorrow.

Thanks to those of you who made it up to the Roast! We had a blast.
The Veranda (the outdoor grill) is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. The menu this year features grilled food items with sides (including a variation of the Salmon Roast Sandwich) and salads, as well as beer and wine.
The Friday night Wine Bar is now in full swing. It's an open wine bar from 5.30 to 9 p.m. We feature a different array of wines (by the taste, by the glass and by the bottle) each week. No reservations are required.
