Just had this info passed along to me and was quite sad to hear it. Anne & I had the pleasure of meeting Tim last summer on a weekend in the Hocking Hills area when we stopped by the Lunchbox Cafe for lunch (review here). Tim was an incredibly gracious host and his passion for the lunchbox museum that he created poured out of him. Tim worked in multiple Columbus restaurants in the 80s and 90s including Lindey's in German Village, so I imagine he has some connections to folks who may be reading this.
Anyway, below is the message of the email that was sent along:
I am sad to tell you that just last Tuesday Tim Seewer (of Etta's Lunchbox Cafe' & Museum) passed away in a tragic car accident.
It's a loss to the area, for as you know, Tim was truly a fun and lively character. His passion for welcoming visitors and sharing lunchbox pop culture was contagious.
I wanted to let you know in case you have the opportunity to include Etta's in any future stories on the area. Etta's owner, LaDora Ouesley and Tim were longtime companions and partners in the business, so this is REALLY hard on her.
We really appreciate all of your coverage of the Hocking Hills area. Thanks so much for that. And again, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
