I find it funny that a post was removed for using a bad word, yet wishing a slow, painful death upon someone doesn't get removed. That's piss poor.
Oops. I actually thought I deleted the initial post earlier. Trying to spend time with my family today, so you'll have to pardon me if my online babysitting is a little slow this morning.
And the other post you're referencing wasn't removed because of "using a bad word". It was removed because it was an unnecessary, childish personal attack/insult. Bad language won't get removed if it's used in a non-threatening context. Personal attacks/insults almost always will, bad language or not.
Happy Fucking New Years Everyone!
@Walker - lol - Fucking excellent.
So... can we trust a Hawaiian death certificate? I mean... you know... we apparently can't trust their birth certificates...
Maybe he'll have a sort of Lee Atwater moment when he realizes there's more to life than hating.
Maybe not.
Hmmmm, I am pleased to see that the level of hatred here is not terribly high.
Happy Fucking New Year everyone!
I wonder what the fuck Tom Coburn is praying for today???
I don't wish Rush any ill will and I DO hope he recovers, but I also hope that he gets a look at the health system and gets to see how it can be improved.
No ill wish from me for the man's health, but all that anger, hate and bile he trashes the airwaves with had to catch up with him sooner or later. Too bad for him.

It will never happen. With his gazillion dollars he can PAY FOR the best health care available. He will never see the same type of healthcare the average American sees.
Odds are he will use it to push the “Best Health Care in the World†agenda, because his medical experience was A+.
Hope he has a speedy recovery. I can’t really say that I would wish ill will or death on anyone Just because I think they may be insane or have pretty crazy views. As I am sure his demographic most likely does not agree with me. That’s the beauty of individuals we all have the ability to think differently.
I heard they were having trouble locating his heart. Is that true?
You guys are fucking crazy. Who in their right mind would wish him anything other than a speedy recovery and an expeditious return to the airwaves? Ask James Carville or Rahm Emmanuel whether we need Rush. Without Bush, Cheney, Delay, or the other easy-to-hate Republicans, who is the scapegoat? Ask the President's press secretary how much play they got out of Rush. It was only a few months ago that top liberal strategists purposefully painted Rush as the "leader of the Republican party" embarrassing the shit out of Michael Steele, Gov. Mark Sanford (R NC), and other Republicans who dared criticize the evil old bastard. The GOP's beholden to Chief Pill Popper; Carville and Emmanuel used this to gain support for many of the policies the Obama administration championed earlier this spring. Check out http://www.imsorryrush.com to see the DCCC's strategy first hand.
Godspeed to you, Rush...I hope they give you a robot heart, you devilish old filthtoast. I hope your body rots around your lungs and whatever sits in your hoary skull, decomposing you on your chair.
There is some truth there. Without Rush, Beck, Palin, Et Al sabotaging the efforts of moderate republicans (A la New York's 23rd congressional district) the Democratic party will have to work much much harder.
Seriously, if Rush actually believes what he says then he is one of his (and his party's) own worst enemies.
I've never really paid much attention to him. I think he's just an IRL troll.
I admit that when I heard the news this morning, my first thoughts were of negative wishes and browsing celebratory FB statuses. My second thoughts were about when Ted Kennedy died & someone on CU made some unkind comments only to be chastised for disrespect. They also said that Dems/left CUers would do the same if it were a Republican icon, to which I thought, "No way." Then Limbaugh went into the hospital and proved that mostly right, with the considerable fault to the comparison being that there's quite a difference between an active government member and politician and a radical talk show host.
Anyway. My point was that, no matter how much I wanted to make a snarky remark about wishing the worst, I remembered the Ted Kennedy thread and thought, "Damn. Can't do it."
On the other hand, he's still alive, so does that free things up?

not really. It's never very classy to wish illness on someone just because you don't like what they say. The best counter to speech you do not like is to speak out against the ideas, not the individual.
Of course, sometimes its amusing to not worry about staying "classy" and some folks take the intertrons more or less seriously than others.
I'm with Voltaire - I don't like what he has to say but believe strongly in his right to say it.
