Listen, I hope the guy has a speedy recovery. I would never wish harm or death on anyone. But, I find it ironic that a man that regularly discounts on his show the health benefits of regular exercise and healthy living finds himself in the hospital for potential heart-related problems. Much in the same way that he railed on drug-addicts and championed stiffer penalties for drug offenders only to be busted for illegal drug use and have an addiction to pain pills.

The contradictions are coming to haunt him.

I hope that he has a speedy recovery too but is forced to retire from the slanderdous media job that he currently holds.

Don't get me wrong...I agree with a lot of what he says, it's just the way he goes about saying it (out of context and over and over) that disgusts me.

heh...was thinking the same. I'd say at best I wish him a slow recovery, with lots of bedrest.

I don't listen to him, but where does discounting exercise and healthy living even fit into his platform? What does he have to gain from telling people not to excercise?

I do listen to him from time-to-time. His viewpoints are so extreme that I find them entertaining. He regularly dive into many topic off the Ã¢â‚¬Å“Hate DemsÃ¢â‚¬Â agenda, including global warming, conservation, etc. One of the topics he loves to discuss is that thereÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s proof that exercise has little to no health benefits, particular in regards to weight loss.

I agree with Core, it getÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s him controversy which equals press.

If I remember correctly, after Rush got busted for drugs, people could find extremely little he ever said on his show in the past about drugs, drug laws, etc.

HOWEVER, he did talk an awful lot about golf, how much he loved playing & fans know he missed some shows for golf vacations.

Which is, umm, strange since it was supposedly his debilitating back pain that caused him to get hooked on painkillers.

The same back pain that allowed him to play so much golf....
