a little late... but i hear that tonight (Jan 31, 2009) is round bar's last night. heard the hotel will be using the space for their breakfast service. has anyone heard or have any confirmation?

I heard about this last week. It is too bad. I used to work with one of the owners at Lindeys over a decade ago. I suspect there may be a couple sudden closings this time of year. Liquor license renewal deadline is February 1st, so if bars/restaurants are really struggling, it isn't worth shelling out the cash. Seems like there are always a few sad surprises in early February. So go support your favorite small local joints this week!!
