Helloooo CU :D I've been lurking this great site for a while, and finally decided to make a thread! Why, you ask?
Because I had one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in this great city (which is saying a lot, just about every restaurant mentioned in the dining sub-forum I've dined at).
It was the night before last (I wanted to make this thread as soon as I got home, but had to wait for mr.admin to accept my registration :( ) and I went with some other people who had already eaten here and went on and on about it. At first, I thought it'd just be another super trendy style place with so-so food (Liu-Pon Xi, anybody?). Man, was it great. I'd say overall, the only place in the whole city with better food (only just), is Handke's. And I'm one of those people that puts Handke's on a pedastal that few could hope to reach.
I ordered the coffee bean and pepper encrusted angus sirloin with grilled veggies and "potato sticks." Pretty standard stuff, not too out there. But that's what a lot of their dishes seem like. Their menu seems rather safe; not far out with wild creations and flavors like, for example, Alana's. Everything sounds fantastic though. My sirloin and veggies were PERFECT!! It was one of the best steaks I've had in my life. So flavorful. And those "potato sticks" which were basically just two big french fries cut into perfect rectangles but cooked with some egg in them, were wonderful.
And then the dessert...oh boy. Molten Chocolate cake, which had a very warm, fudgy center, was amazing.
Expensive though. But this place deserves your money. GO THERE.
