Consider the 2007 EVEREST study commissioned by Jennifer Brunner, which found that “Ohio’s electronic voting systems have ‘critical security failures’ which could impact the integrity of elections in the Buckeye State” and “viruses that can be inserted into [Ohio's e-voting and tabulation] system through something as simple as a PDA [Personal Digital Assistant] and a magnet and then the cards are passed from machine to machine almost like Typhoid Mary” so that “If there is malicious software, like a virus put into the system, it can not only affect the machines at the polling places, it can affect the tabulation that occurs at the server and it can also affect future elections if it’s not detected”?

It’s pretty obvious to me that pretty much anything electronic is more easily hackable than its mechanical counterpart in this day and age. We’ve got a nation of geeks, but a quickly diminishing population of tinkerers and people with mechanical ability.

Doesn’t matter who anyone supports. The point of elections is that the candidate with the most votes is supposed to win. Electronic voting machines were designed to be hackable.

Except for the Presidential race, which the candidate with the most Electoral votes wins.

Big jump you’re making there; there’s a significant different between “could be hacked” and “designed to be hacked”.

First is a possible problem, the second at the very least requires extraordinary proof. Something more than youtube videos and blog posts.

That’s another system that needs reforming, Graybeak. But I get your point.

That’s what the internet architect specialist/former CEO Stephen Spoonamore says in the the video I posted earlier in this thread. He’s a top expert in his field. He’s a Republican but unlike you he understands that elections are the beating heart of any republic and without election integrity all roads will lead to fascism.

Check the video out for yourself. He makes those points in the last 5 minutes.

Just got a good laugh from rus going from voting machines are so secure it’s a conspiracy theory to question anything about them to admitting that they “could be hacked.”

…says the guy who linked a youtube video made by Breitbart as evidence of voter fraud like a week ago.

Tell me that wasn’t awesome though ;)

As to fascism, it’s looking better and better all the time.
