Would you say that Top puts up a better steak than morton's?

OK, one more, mostly because of the insane service and fact it's empty week nights to it's like you own the place...
Otani.

I'd put them close, but the ambience at Top crushes Morton's, IMO.
this really doesn't do it justice...

That's what I needed. Thank you sir.

p.s. last "girlfriend event" there we both had the "Truelove Cosmos" before dinner...it may sound sappy now, but when you're in the whole Top vibe, it really works.

Reservations made. I move into the city at the beginning of December. Remind me to buy your tab some night.

lol...I'd hate to do that and have you forced back out of the city from debt ;)

If you can hold your own drinking with me, you deserve to have your tab picked up ;)

Dined at The Top last night, I am in love with that place and have been for years. Had the special, rack of lamb...SO GOOD. Plus it was $5 martini night (yes grey goose) which kind of got some of us in trouble! lol.
For romance, get a reservation for one of the two fireplace tables there.

I like RJ Snappers, but haven't been in a long time.
Barcelona is always a good choice although it's too cold to enjoy their patio.
Latitude 41 is a good pick too. Their food is awesome in my humble opinion. Request a window seat up front on Third and watch the traffic roll by at night. Usually fun.
Due Amici has a nice ambiance, and is a bit cheaper than the other options listed. I think they still do a Monday Wine special, so it would be a good spot if you want to get loaded up on good wine.
Oh, and Morton's wins my award for top-notch service. Their food can be pretty expensive, but it's got a great old-school steakhouse vibe. Can get pretty pricey though, especially if you get into the surf and turf (like I like to do).

^^ Yeah, Morton's has killed my pocketbook more than a few times. Their 48 oz porterhouse (84$ last time I checked) plus sides, plus dessert, plus wine = broke, but happy

Alana's is an amazing aphrodisiac.

LOL, I grew up in that area - we thought we were tough when we used to hang out in front of the Carriage Place movies waiting to get picked up by our moms. I guess you can say we paved the way for the current crop of Suburban Gangstas. :D

Yeahhh! Dave and I are going there this weekend. Makes me a little more assured about what to expect.

Bexley Monk was a near post for me, but it's kind of hit or miss.
