Reminds me a lot of times when I used to go for downtown runs in the wee hours of the morning. Whether it be at dusk or dawn, Columbus definitely does have a nice feel to it during those hours when I would go for run. It helps make the run more entertaining too. XD
I love this video. Morning people unite!!!
I like this video because I get to see a side of Columbus I rarely see... because I'm sleeping in.
There is a time of year that I'm headed east into town on W Broad St during dawn - and it's so gorgeous. The fun thing is that now, I'm headed home at sunset - equally gorgeous.
One of the first things that made me fall in love with Columbus when I moved here was the commute to work at 6:30am. I was usually on 670E before traffic was heavy, and I had some of the best sunrises against the backdrop of the skyline. By the time I made it to wherever I was subbing that day, I had a big smile.
Thanks for recapturing that magic.
Very cool. It would be even cooler if these could be played on the jumbotrons of the AD and Broad/High for everyone to see.

Great video simply because I can totally empathize with that feeling. There were numerous nights where I had little to nothing to do and I would go out for drives after midnight. There is so little traffic that you can actually unwind and sight see while you drive. The highways are great too because you feel like you own the whole road and you can just cruise aimlessly. Downtown is uncongested and you still see people out and about but you can kind of just see and survey the city without any worries of traffic, bikes, people, getting somewhere, etc.
The Midnight one is awesome! I also love to drive at night - no destination in mind, music up loud.
There's a moment where a COTA bus is on an overpass and it almost looks like a train. *le sigh*
Thank you all for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the videos. Count me in for the jumbotrons!
Very well done. It would be nice if everyone in the Columbus Area would see this. Also, send a copy to Experience Columbus. It is better than most of the stuff they put out, and would do a better job of building up Columbus' profile nationally than what they do.
Nicely done. Nice use of Sigur Ros in the first one. I think the band did something similar on one of their DVDs showing the landscapes of their native Iceland.
And of course, that's definitely the vibe that M83 intended with Midnight City!
Big thumbs up for these productions
