I didn't think he was really going to walk away, but I actually like this deal. $62.4 mil for 8 years.
The part where he suggested kicking in an eight year, and spreading the cost out over all eight to lessen the cap hit touched me. I know a lot of players are making sacrifices for their teams, and this hardly beggars Nash, but still, it's nice the captain is setting that kind of concern.
(Of course, it's also an investment for him. Make sure the team can afford to get someone who can actually support him for a change!)
