I personally like these quotes form The Other Paper review.
“It appeals to the lowest common denominator, glorifies war, lamely misplaces forced humor, outfits robots with lazy stereotypes and treats women as nothing more than smoldering sexpots… In other words, it’s perfect for a seventh-grade boy… Oh, there’s character development, too, as Megan Fox repeatedly runs in slow motion. Maybe I'm the lowest common denominator TOP is talking about, but I enjoyed the movie. It's not going to be a candidate for any Oscars, and there were a number of things I think should have been changed or cut entirely, but it was a fairly entertaining summer blockbuster about fighting alien robots, and I didn't go in expecting more than that.
I'd give it a B on the fun summer movie scale.

That's a spot on review. I had fun watching it but knew going in that it is a Michael Bay movie. That said, I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a clean conscience.
If you manage your expectations, you can enjoy completely ridiculous movies like these.

One thing that I couldnt stand in the first one was how they shot the robot fighting scenes. The "shaky" camera thing gets old real quick when you're trying to watch two robots fight. The new Hulk did a great job with the fight scenes. How does 2 stack up in the action shots?
