A few more storefronts in central Ohio were filled during the first half of the year, but the rising retail occupancy rate is more an effect of the lack of new construction than a robust economy.
Retail vacancies were down for a second straight quarter in the three months ending in June, according to information released yesterday by the Columbus Board of Realtors.

Launched in August 2010, TheMetropreneur.com is a local online resource devoted to small business development and entrepreneurship. Its aim is to tell the stories of Central Ohio's business community, foster regional economic development and assist entrepreneurs with its resource-heavy focus.
