Hello everyone. I am looking for a store front in the Short North to sell Silver, Jewelery, Crafts and maybe some Manta clothing. I need something in between 500 to a 1000 sq ft. If anyone has or knows about one I will highly appreciate the info. I really want to be on High St but if there is something close enough I will be interested too.

What are you looking to spend? I can ask around. I am pretty sure the old Mahan spot and the old Gary's Gallery spot are the only spaces on high st. ready for occupancy (I am not sure the Dakota spaces are available yet). You may want to check where Muse Off High was. The space is bigger than you want but he may subdivide.

Sorry, it's been rented out. It's going to be a women's shoe store.

What do you expect for rent? Mahan's old space is still available from what I know, but it's going for at least 1.4k/mo. The Dakota has spaces as small as 300sqft going for 1k/mo (I've heard their contracts are just shy of criminal with what they want out of tenants though  ). I don't know if there's much space left north of 3rd right now. There's at least one opening on the west side of high next to Blazers pub, but it's been open a long time.
There's going to be some openings at some point in the future between 4th-5th in various areas if things shake out with The Garden building plus some consolidation of the sex/smoke shops. That's probably 1-2yrs away at least.

The space The Joint currently occupies has For Rent signs in all the windows. There is also a spot right beside the most northerly sex shop (Measure of a Man maybe?) that has brown paper over the windows, not sure if it is available. Don't know if you want to go that far north but it really isn't that bad of a location if the galleries keep expanding northward.
