So I am thinking of moving some old unused, unsightly, painted over 1000 times, non-working, clunky radiators from my apartment. It looks like I could just hacksaw the two pipes attached to the things and with a little elbow grease of a crowbar, just pry it free from the 50 years of paint that attaches it to the wall.
It would free up a little room in the apartment.
Yes, I am going to ask the landlord first.
Is there any liquid or substance that I should be careful of when I cut the thing free? What are these made of? Can I take it to Americrest and have a metal scrapper recycle it? Should I leave it for the future when we might use radiators again?
Anybody here remove old radiators from their homes?
