Enjoy live music and great food from 4 p.m. 'til midnight on Nationwide Boulevard during Taste of BOOM!, presented by Miller Lite and sponsored by Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi and Mike's Hard Lemonade
Taste of BOOM!, presented by Miller Lite and sponsored by Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi and Mike's Hard Lemonade, is comprised of live music from popular local bands, great food from Columbus's top resturants, a beer garden, and an interactive display with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Columbus Crew. Walk down Nationwide Boulevard as it is transformed into a street party, celebrating Independence Day complete with a perfect view of the fireworks. Taste of BOOM! kicks off at 4 p.m. and will keep you entertained until midnight.

I will be in the arena district. Its becoming a yearly tradition near the arch and framed in nicely with the new buildings. Parking is easy and I can be back home within a half hour.
Next year I will get to know someone in North Bank Condos and watch it from their place. :D

I think it's not a bad idea to leave early. I agree with you that by 5:00PM anything coming into downtown is going to start getting hectic.

Well, the main stage acts come on at like 4 and it's usually pretty damn packed by then.
Bicentennial stage stuff is from like noon on, but that's not as big of a deal.

I have a couple passes to the City Hall viewing party. Before the Columbus taxpayers get bent out of shape, they don't even provide food or alcholic beverages. Corndogs and funnel cakes it is!

I usually just take Bugs over to Schiller, you can see most of them from there and I really don't care enough to actually "do something".
