Hey Volunteers!
ComFest in Goodale Park was a huge success this year. Hope everyone is now recovering and preparing for the next wave - Red, White & Boom!
In order to get ready for this next great event, we are looking for volunteers for setup and cleanup this Friday night.
Can you help?
Friends of Goodale Park, The Short North Civic Association, ComFest and Doo Dah are partnering together to protect and clean up the park during and after Red, White & Boom. Volunteers are needed for setup before the event, as well as park cleanup after the fireworks end.
Please wear your favorite ComFest shirt for this cooperative, collective activity on Friday.
Setup: Begins at 4:20pm on Friday, July 1st (meet at the shelterhouse)
Cleanup: Begins after the fireworks end and the majority of the crowd disburses.
Tasks: (Pre-fireworks) Set up barricades and trash/recycling boxes for the lineup on Goodale. (Post-fireworks) Pull trash bags and organize trash along Goodale for City Refuse workers to collect, then take recycling to units in Dennison parking lot, fold down & put away recycling boxes.
ComFest will provide pizza and beverages for all volunteers who help with this event.
Please email Julie Hallan, FGP Volunteer Coordinator, at juliehallan@friendsofgoodalepark.org if you have questions or need any additional information.
Please come out and help us keep the park looking great!
(psst....getting there early also helps you reserve a good seat for the show!)
Thanks!
Julie
