The Red Brick District on Main will be hosting a neighborhood event to coincide with this yearÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Eighth Annual City Hop on Saturday, June 16th! Join us from 12pm to 6pm for special sales, music, food, and entertainment!
Participating businesses include CJ Daniels Fashions, Y Sadiq Diamond, Brownstone on Main, the Little Palace Restaurant, the Queen Bee Restaurant, Hawk Galleries, RomanoffÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Classic Tuxedo and Zettler Hardware. Additional street vendors will also have goods available as well. Activities will include food and music as well as sales. Sale Activities will vary by location.

Basically, these businesses will be running special sales during the Condo Hop event. There's a few stops on the tour down through this area, so the foottraffic should be more than a normal Saturday.
In addition to sales, there will be some sidewalk music, some outdoor grilling, an a handful of street vendors set up selling various goods.
Consider it to be sort of a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" for the condo hoppers swinging through this neck of downtown. :D

Announcing the latest addition to the Red Brick District, The Artful Dodger Gallery !
They will be having a sneak peek this Saturday at 246 south Fourth Street from 11am-5pm.
Come See them this weekend during our Neighborhood Special event and come back July 7th for their grand opening!

Oh... well the main stores participating in this event were running from noon to 6. 8pm would have been later on.
I too heard about the Artful Dodger, but wasn't sure on the details for that. Hrmm...

I guess you didn't see my post earlier in this thread saying the Artful Dodger would be open from 11am-5pm. :(
well the good news is that, that weekend was not their grand opening, which is currently slated for July 7th. So you'll have another better chance to see them. :)
I'll post more when I know it.
oh and their address is 426 South 4th street which is on the east side of the street and is next door to the Little Palace and the Queen Bee.

I'll be at the artful dodger opening on the 7th- this past event was a soft opening, from what I understand.
I don't know why, but I feel like really getting behind the whole red brick district thing.
Also, I'm a big Ben Devoe fan- anything he does has to be good.

The RBD website is a great candidate for a makeover.
I think you could pitch a TV show around website makeovers with some success...
What about a city fund to finance web site makeovers for sites that will ultimately benefit the city? God knows there is no shortage of web sites that need help and no shortage of talented web designers in Columbus.

Too easy to game the system. Set up a deliberately puny Web site (maybe even only a single page) and then try to get the government to basically pay for your entire Web development costs.

Ben was telling mea bout it on Friday evening at skullys so it was a word of mouth type of deal, didn't read it on here.

yep, that's where we were exactly, looked inside the little palace and the queen bee but saw no sign for the artful dodger. there were 2 of us that couldn't find it so I know I'm not completely blind, might want to put a sign up or something.

Yup I imagine it's the same person you knew, as Kat is her name. To be honest I'm not sure exactly what it is they do, I believe it's a combo of both Art and Tatooes. They've been around a while just in another part of downtown.
Yeah they do need signage but since they are not officially open yet, I'm guessing they have plans to get it before the grand opening.

hi there,
i discovered this thread a second ago, after google searching the gallery to see if there was any buzz.
first,
i apologize for the "soft opening" mishap. we simply were not adequetly prepared, as we'd spent most of our morning and afternoon to evening in the gallery, cleaning and hanging work.
no signage at that point, due to the fact that construction has been going on in that place pretty much until now, one and half days before the opening. pretty scary huh? down to the wire is an understatement.
and as the gallery will surely be looking pretty by this saturday 7pm, it will not be complete to my standards, just complete enough to reach the goal of a promised opening date. and hopefully, it'll just get prettier and prettier, as i'll then be able to actually start the process of preparing my tattoo space.
its been a long journey, so please bare with me.
at some point in july, tattooing will resume for myself, and i am the sole propreter of the artful dodger gallery. just me, and a few possible gallery sitters in the future, maybe a secretary.
its all happening, been mostly word of mouth, just the way i like it.
i'm so very excited to situate myself downtown, been looking at that skyline all my life, now i can be a part of it.
