Any reason for teh name change? is it the same people?

yep, its still james anderson. Smackies was the name of his old restaurant which is no longer around. I think its just a fresh start with a new business. The food now is even better than it was at the restaurant.

This dude is the BBQ and brisket champ of Columbus...it's just kinda funny to see this post with this avatar next to it at this point. (nothing personal, aaron)
+1 weirded me the hell out....
+2 I got a facebook friend request from someone w/that avatar. There is more than one RSR! Who is selling all these avatars? I gotta get in on that...
We drove by RR's with the windows open this morning on the way to gymnastics camp @ Whetstone and that smoker was billowing yummy deliciousness. The 9 year old said " That smells sooo good!" The 3 year old yelled "LET'S GO THERE!" One of these days, Skillet & Ray Ray will get some of my money...Posted 1 year ago # -
James does a GREAT job with BBQ...and I am sure much less stress than operating a restaurant!

I'm taking my Dad for dinner Sunday! Excited. I don't think there's a menu available anywhere, but it's the usual BBQ fare: ribs, brisket, sides. It's just that it's really good. (According to my husband...I'm not a big eater of the red meats. But the bites I've had were tasty.)

They are just the nicest guys ever, I so enjoy buying food there. I tend to over-order, oops!

Ray-Ray's is good BBQ!!! This is one of our favorite's and like someone posted, they are good people and were very helpful and forthcomming with tips while I was refurbing Bessie Mae. You're missing out on something good if you don't patronize them.

Where is this place exactly? I assume it's in the parking lot of one of the corner businesses?
Posted 1 year ago # -
It's at High & Pacemont in front of a convenience store. Just follow the delicious smell! ; )

It's whats for dinner. I got to work and was thinking about dinner, Ray Ray's was the first thing that popped into my head. Anyone who tries to tell you there is better BBQ hasn't been to Ray Rays.
also, for those that don't know, there are 2 sauces, a regular and a spicy. and I believe they do grassfed organic beef on Sundays.

So the brisket is only on Sundays? The meat looks amazing, grass fed brisket!
