So I hate those little cards that go on your keychain, I hate them. I've finally given in to having one or two though and since I stop at Speedway a lot I figured I'd give theirs a shot and well it sucks.

If you want to use it at the pump you have to have the wallet size card on you, you can't scan the one off your keychain.

If you earn a free cup of coffee or whatever it's not stored as data on the card you have to have the physical receipt for the free coffee AND the card, not one or the other, BOTH. Who keeps receipts from Speedway?

What an inconvenient piece of shit little "rewards" system. Fuck you, Speedway.

Petty rant but hey I feel better. And I did get $.40 off a gallon of 28 gallons of gas at Giant Eagle the other day.

That sounds awful.

I hate those cards too. Too bad almost everywhere you go seems to have them now.

I received some gift cards from Speedway for Christmas one year, I think it was 10, $5 cards. Well, I wanted to use $40 of those cards, but you can only do that if you fill up $5 worth of gas, then scan the next one, another $5 worth of gas, hang up the pump, re-scan...

Since then, I have never returned to a Speedway gas station.

Why has one "master card" not been developed yet? Just one card you can use at all places. you have one barcode, and you can go online and register all your other barcodes onto the Master barcode.

I just want someone to do it already. You'd think there was some way to make money on such a thing. I don't have the technical skills to do this but have thought much about it. maybe it's not possible, I don't know.

I prefer Sunoco, shell, and bp gas anyways. Speedway is closer to me, but I never go there.

the only "cards" I use consistently are Giant Eagle and CVS, though I have a lot of them.

i prefer rants to be from first-time posters who will tag the thread with an alluring/confusing title, spew a diatribe that makes little sense as to why it is on CU, and then never check back for the response.

I fumble with the twelve (I just counted) cards on my keychain all the time and it drives me crazy. I've thought about removing all but the 4 I use regularly - Kroger, GE, CVS, and library - and put the rest on a different keychain to keep it in my car. I hate having full hands at the door trying to find my house key, usually while doing the peepee dance, grrrr.

That picture is funny...if he really drank red bull i bet he's whoop my ass at mario kart.

But for real have you ever been in a Walmart where the parents hands the toddler a 20oz of mt dew or dr pepper and they are like nursing that shit, that is so disgusting.

that is almost there, what I want is 1 barcode on a keyfob that links to all the other barcodes in a central intertube location. (or an rfid transmitter encloded in my keychain) i haven't worked out all the kinks though, lol!

What were you doing at Speedway at five am? Never mind...

I refuse to carry those crappy little plastic ads on my keychain, instead recite the telephone number I provided on the ap (the office backline no one answers).

The only decent thing about Walgreens (I'm a hater) is that they offer the sale price to everyone equally without those stupid cards.

Am I right, they use those cards to track my purchases for their own market research, to see if downtown zip code chicks who buy a lot of Diet Coke also prefer a certain brand of lip gloss?
