Recently I came into possession of some DJ equipment (2 turntables and a mixer) and it has been sitting on my coffee table for the time being. However this is getting quite annoying since I no longer have a coffee table. I've been thinking about building one, but I'm not exactly a DIY master, and I'm reluctant to put $1000 worth of shit on some piece of crap that I built. I also do not want to spend too much. About the cheapest I've been able to find is $150.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I simply used pine project boards from Home Depot.
No sawing required, just simple drilling and a few wood screws. Cost under $40, very strong yet light. Has a shelf underneath the tables, perfect for records or audio gear you don't need on top of the table.

The boards themselves...
Five boards total...I'm not sure of the exact dimensions so I'm going to guess:
Table top and shelve bottom = 48"x32"x3/4"
Legs and "back of shelf" = 48"x24"x3/4"
This was easy to to me b/c yes I have a drill but no saw and those pine project boards are readily available in many different sizes and pine is a pretty light weight wood compared to mdf or whatever.
My particular table works for two tables set up "battle style" and a standard 10" mixer ONLY, but as it stands now I have a longer board on top of this "stand" and it holds three tables and two 10" mixers.
Run over to home depot and check out your options you might like what you see with those pine project boards.

yeah, I gotta see this picture. I can't even imagine a way to have it set up where the bathroom would even be slightly usable. But if you got it figured out...props to that!
(I wouldn't want all that electrical equipment near so much humidity, unless it's some old crappy tables and mixer that I don't mind if it gets ruined)
