I love today. I just went for coffee and the sky is a flawless shade of blue.....why why why do we have to work on such a beautiful day. I really wish there were a flex time option to work every crappy over cast day in order to have every clear sunny day off. 8)

hahaha…I can't afford a bitchin' car or an expensive suit…but I can afford to take a nap outside in the backyard for a few hours.
and then stay up all night finishing this stupid website…the self-employed are never off work. blahst!

I would not have to pay for after school care either....I must figure out how to become self employed ASAP.
It's easy, just get fired from your regular job! Then refuse to look for another job. Wait 2 years and voila! A cure for materialism. Seriously, I miss the security of a regular paycheck, but it's all worth it to get your life back to spend as you see fit. The freedom is infinitely seductive.

HAHAHA That's hilarious ... I basically lived like that until recently.
Now I find that the lure of a paycheck is infinitely seductive.
I'll probably get sick of this at some point and find the lure of freedom seductive again.
(Or I'll get a private-sector firm job and have to abandon CU.) :?

Oh I completely agree. I've been so busy today I didn't even get my full lunch break. I wanted to spend some of it outside, but I only had time to eat and then it was back to work.
