I think Exit Trinity is one of these "one broker per state" or city offices you're starting to see pop up, where just one broker oversees an entire state or cities branch offices. It's a really odd/shady way to practice "real estate." I imagine the agents joined Exit Trinity at the same airport hotel where they sat through a "get rich" seminar before being sold on the benefits of a "real estate" career with Exit Trinity.

Thanks for responding Donato, I appreciate it.

Nice that Donato responded here, but what you described is so foul and stupid that I wouldn't hesitate to pursue the other possible remedies discussed, Jon.
I hope the 'Christian-based brokerage' response to this fool will be something more substantial than 'don't get caught slandering gays ever again'.

Jon, no problem, i am also offended from this comment Jim Morrison, has made. Please note it does not reflect our view AT ALL. i have done everything in my power to promote EXIT Trinity Realty and have spent all my savings to insure that this company move forward in our already declining economy. through the grace of God, we are moving forward because we have a great reputation and try to handle all situations immediately to our customers satisfaction. Also Just FYI, Jim Morrison is not an agent of our company but only an assistant of Tracy Hartson. i have spoken to Tracy this morning and have advised her that i will need to speak to Jim because regardless of what you and he have discussed, his comment is NOT ACCEPTABLE in any case...
So, again, please accept my APPOLOGIES and if this ever happens again, please do not hesitate to call me directly on my cell phone. 614-774-5123.. thanks Jon.

You might want to let Tracey know that using some point & shoot self-shot Facebook photo of her and her boyfriend at what appears to be a bar (or some dimly lit location) doesn't scream professionalism on a business card.
Having "Real Estate" in quotation marks large and right in the middle of the card, is also ill-advised.
Best of luck.

Nice that Donato tried to make a mends regarding the ignorance of that dirt bag. I have a handful of very well known real estate friends whom I plan on telling regarding this person so they NEVER do business with him.

I'm appreciative of Donato's response. The business card/ad is incredibly unprofessional. It's like those annoying online ads for refinancing your mortgage involving frantically dancing people and animals. Who looks at those ridiculous things and thinks "I'd like to make major financial decisions with that company!"
In 2004 when a ban on gay marriage was proposed for Ohio's constitution, I saw someone putting a sign in favor of the ban in the yard at Alt Realtors in Clintonville. I'll never buy or sell a house through them, and I'll tell anyone why. No matter one's personal feelings on the matter, it's bad business. I wouldn't want my Realtor turning off potential sellers or buyers.

Yeah, the unprofessional card, along with their overall unprofessional web presence immediately turned me off.
As an atheist, the whole god and Christian bit mixed irrelevantly into business always strikes me as a smoke screen used to gain people's trust.
My brain immediately goes "what are they hiding or they're trying to deceive me".

My brain immediately goes "what are they hiding or they're trying to deceive me".I tend to follow Burrough's thoughts on the matter of Christian businesspeople. This after discovering the hard way on my own multiple times.

I have to admit I am impressed with the apology from Mr. D'Alberto. It looks sincere and is not using a lot of weasel words like "sorry IF this has offended you" or anything like that. This really doesn't seem half-assed, and that's kind of rare nowadays.
I mean, clearly part of the mission was to distance the company from the employee by throwing him under the bus, so to speak. Ok that is understandable and part of being a boss. Still, how many business owners have come on here and tried to defend indefensible actions by employees/contractors? (*cough*... sl00pys...*cough*) Too many.
Frankly, though, Mr. D'Alberto isn't the one, or at least not the ONLY one who really needs to apologize. Even though he is ultimately 'the boss', he's not the guy who was being a total prick.
I need more coffee or something, this isn't very well written, but I hope my thoughts come through. I also hope Mr D'Arlberto can purge his company of people like this who soil it's name through their uncivil words and deeds.

This dude looks a bit like Billy Bob Thornton in Mr. Woodcock (which is an awesome movie, by the way).

Mike, I understand that people have employees and partnerships, which they can't control what happens and anyhow, I take Donato's apology as being authentic.

I just thought it was especially noteworthy given all the backhanded and half-assed apologies and non-apologies business owners have posted here and in other parts of the interwebs in the recent past

I personally wanted to take a minute and apologize for the heated conversations that have taken place between my assistant Jim and Jon.
I have worked hard to build the business I have based on a reputation of complete integrity and honesty. The comment made by Jim Morrision DOES NOT represent my personal views. Again, I apologize that this incident ever took place.
Thank you,
Tracey HartsonPosted 1 year ago # -
I am posting to offer a public and sincere apology to Jon Myers for the ridiculous emails between the two of us that took place on August 22, 2010. The words and phrases passed from email to email were uncalled for. Regretfully, I let an attack on my personal career efforts get the best of me and made comments that were inappropiate and do not reflect my beliefs and normal everyday practices. I do apologize for my actions and would like it known that in no way were my comments meant to reflect on Tracey Hartson or ANYONE associated with EXIT Trinity Realty.
