I've never met a pizza I couldn't eat!
I forgot to add to my list: Tommy's Pizza. (good pizza)

Last summer, somebody had a little "pizza hut" on the side of a building in Short North, near Bodega, that was open late night. Can't remember what that was called, and never tried the pizza. Anybody know if it was good?

I only had it once, and I thought it was overpriced for what it was. Haven't been in a rush to go back. Cool concept though, and great location.
Jet's pizza should be on the worst list.
not only for their crappy pizza, but also for the moron delivery driver that pounds on your garage door, waking up every friggin dog in the neighborhood.

The place is called Late Night Slice and they sell no-frills pizza by the slice. They are still open, have a tent up most weekend nights and offer a selection of Faygo products with which to wash the pizza down.
It's good NYC style pie. You get what they make. Sometimes that's just cheese, other times they'll have fried garlic and basil on it. Pepperoni generally makes an appearance.
Worth trying.

DiCarlo's Pizza in Hilliard is great Steubenville-style pizza - square, by the slice and always fresh.
Worth the drive.
Yep.. grew up on this pizza since my dad is from Wheeling. BTW, it's Ohio Valley style (or just Valley style), DiCarlos is a Wheeling franchise :-)
We used to go to both the downtown Wheeling and Elm Grove locations for pizza, and the Hilliard spot is just as good. The one over at Tuttle that closed a few years back wasn't quite as good.
As for the pizza being Valley style, they precook the pizza crust with sauce, and when you order the pizza, they put the cheese on and finish baking. When the pizza comes out they would put the rest of the pepperoni and some more cheese on and box it up. Then drive home and the cheese and pepperoni melt from the carryover heat.
They used to make the pizza in 1/2 sheet pans and all ordering was by the slice. I think a whole pan was 24 slices. When you would order, they would do up your slices and put them in these thin cardboard boxes what would hold about 6 slices each.
A few years ago they went to this square sheet pan so a whole (square) pizza would fit in a standard pizza box, but the pizza is good.

I'd say well worth the trip.. Mike has improved his dough since he opened(he was having problems with suppliers), and I think it's better than it was this summer..
Being a by the slice place, it's kinda spendy, but still beats late night street meat places in quality and price.
I tended to like the slices that had been reheated over the ones fresh out of the oven as the reheated slices were crispier, but it's all pretty good really.
On the whole, I think he's doing pretty good work for what started out as late night drunk food.
Nothing wrong with street meat, though Columbus could use more variety.

nothing wrong with the ones I've tried aside from the price and the quality...
More vendors might improve quality through competiton, but until that actually happens, Mikey's LNS is probably going to continue to be the recipient of my late night food dollar.
Yeah, the location can't be beat for the LNP place. My boyfriend lives nearby, so we will pop in there on our walk home.
Rubino's is one of my favorite pizza places in the city. $9 for a large one topping pizza? Warm tap water served in tupperware containers and poured into foam coffee cups? Yes please.

Good to hear. I'll give it another shot sometime. I just really wasn't too impressed with what we had over the summer. I almost seriously asked if he was making the pizza himself or if it was frozen.
