And please list the price range if you know. B1's cheapest is $300 and that's the highest I'd want to go.

I think that's probably the cheapest you'll find, unless you can snag something off of Craigslist or find something from a friend.
Are you looking for a road bike or a track bike?
You should definitely go to B1; Casey is my buddy!

When I had similar issues... Sally at B1 suggested that I look on Ebay... then bring the bike to them. That is what I did... I ended up getting a pretty nice bike for $120 and $40 shipping. When I got it is was in great condition. Now if I want to make upgrades I will definitely go to B1. They can help me customize it as I need.

Breakaway Cycle in Delaware could put you in a nice Giant for a little less than $300.
As wrong as it seems, you can also get a pretty decent Schwinn at Wal-Mart for $150.

$300 is about the base price of any bike worth purchasing. Anything short of that price point that is new will most likely not last longer than the time the decent bike would take to reach it's first tune up. Almost any bike store in the city will have great bikes starting at about $289 for a decent giant, specialized, or schwinn. I would personally prefer a gaint baseline bike and they can be found at northland schwinn or action cycle works. I'm sure more stores will have these bikes, but I frequent those shops.

Go to Once Ridden Bikes at Indianola and Tompkins Aves. You can get a 15-25 year old bike with a good frame for 150-200 dollars. I bought one from ther 18 months ago for $150 and have got at least 6000-7000 miles on it.

I wanna give props to my favorite bicycle restoration and sales guru, Chris. His shop is called Restoration Bicycle -- http://www.restorationbicycle.com -- great guy, very helpful, reasonable prices.
And also, regarding what makes a bike urban -- this describes the different types of bicycles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bicycle_types.
