for New Year's Eve?
Trying to plan a trip with friends for a bash. I would appreciate a location and reason. Even a description of your previous trip would also help.

LA http://www.giantclub.com click on the Circus event for New Years Eve...
OR the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.....I love love love it there anytime of year and New Years Eve would be unforgettable!!!!
i try to go to manhattan every new years. but its mostly to visit friends i barely see and to shop... alot.
I'd suggest anywhere that Skybus flies, but I'd say that tickets for NYE are probably no longer that cheap. ;)
One of my friends did thailand one year for new years, after seeing his pictures, that is my ultimate new years destination.
We should combine the old red party/white party whatever concept and make HERE be the party desitnation, because I am not going to be able to afford to travel about this New Years.
so... anyone know of an old warehouse we can liberate for the glory of the revolution? I'll make jello and wear a festive outfit! :D
I snagged tickets for myself and a friend to LA on Skybus for $10 each for NYE. More than likely going to the Giant Maximus party like enzo pointed out. With the cheapness of the airfare I will probably go VIP to the party. Top shelf open bar; here I come.
I was in Vegas last year for NYE and had a BLAST! It can be a little pricey, but its well worth it
JetBlue flights to JFK are showing up as $100-120 on the way there, and $69-120 on the way back, depending on the time. The hotel in NYC will be the budget killer though.
I did the whole NYC NYE deal and I just gotten back from Vegas. LA sounds cool. (note to self - check skybus)
Oh and thanks for all the suggestions so far! keep em coming.
Sydney (second largest NYE), Rio (largest NYE), Prague, or New Orleans.
NYC NYE is sooo Dick Clark
If you've got the cash, go foreign, or go to the Big Easy (it's about as corrupt as some foreign countries :D ).
Vail, Aspen, Vegas, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, LA, NYC, Atlanta, Paris, Rome, Sydney, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Ibiza, Cannes, Ocho Rios, Santo Domingo, Charlotte-St. Thomas, Cruz Bay-St. John- any of the virgin islands are a good place to be one ANY day.
Ever since the talk about Skybus and it's proximity to Vancouver I've been seriously considering that trip and researching it a bit. THAT seems like a really kick ass city.
Personally, I think South Beach is a really fun trip as well, but try to time it around the Art Deco Weekend and make sure you stay in one of the smaller, quainter type hotels like the Penguin.
I would really like to see Denver, or somewhere in the Rockies. My biggest beef with Columbus is no mountains (Grove City is trying, but I think they only have it to about 300’, Trash Mountain needs to be at least 1000’.) I already took it to Bellingham and am planning to head to the Sierra’s next summer, or maybe this winter? Nevertheless, my heart is in the Rockies!
