Does anyone know what's going on with the condos started on Brickel Street, between Pearl Alley and Kerr Street (just past Tigertree)? The foundations were put in over a year ago and nothing has happened since then. I would guess that they were designed by Urban Order, I'm pretty sure they did the condos on the Russell Street side of that lot.

When we looked at the Russell St ones (last spring), they told us about those. They said they were suppose to be even bigger than the Russell side, and start at around $500k a piece. They didn't mention timelines to us though.

Work has resumed on these condos. Last week, someone cleaned out the basement/foundations and there have been trucks and backhoes there this week, I'm guessing to set the utilities.

They are framing the second floor walls on this project. One of these days, I'll remember my camera and post some pictures.
The thing that really catches my eyes is that there are no windows along either side of this building. It's a deep building to only have windows on the front and back. I would guess that there are some setback and fire code issues at play here.
Edit: Floor Plans

I don't know what you consider the front or back or sides, but I consider the East wall a "side" and it does have a series of factory style windows near the rooflines. Well it has a mix of windows and what used to hold windows.
Did that place used to be a chrome shop?

You're thinking of a different building. That's the chrome shop where Kerr ends and turns West. These are the new buildings on Brickel between Pearl and Kerr.

Is the courtyard (first floor view) in the picture, between the condo and the adjacent garages for the Russel facing condos? Not sure what I think about that. It's private outdoor space, but pretty small.

What new buildings? 68 Prescott is the building I am talking about regardless of the Chrome legacy. 68 has windows on the eastern wall. And the elevation schematic on the north show lots of windows.

They are. They are a decent sized courtyards. The only shitty part is that the guy in the middle has to go through the one on the east for egress. So the guy on the east has to keep a clear path across his courtyard instead of putting something against that wall.

Yeah, I guess thinking about it now, they aren't quite the proportion the picture layout illustrates. They're a little more boxy, right(?) as opposed to the rectangular shape shown.
I looked up the new price of the existing Russell St condo that is currently for sale. They now want $395k I think, which when we looked (8 months prior) it was $380k. I'm not quite sure what improvements were made that would justify a $15k increase in 8 months.

From my quote that you quoted:

I don't know what else to tell you. It is one of the two buildings that front that part of Brickel.

Does construction noise count as an improvement?

Ha! Maybe it's due to having new neighbors in your backyard.
