My friends and I are planning a night out on the town for the 19th of May. We're getting dressed up and getting a limo - the whole ordeal... But I need suggestions of places we can go. Here are the requirements:
-Looking for laid back place but not too laid back so that we will look like we don't belong there. (remember, we will be dressed to impress)
-Has a dance floor / DJ / Band (jazz band, maybe?)
-Downtown area

If you want some good lounges, I've got plenty of options. Hit the bars at:
- Latitude 41
- Kooma
- Burgundy Room
- Bodega
- Rossi
- Betty's
- Due Amici
- Round Bar
Only problem is that none of these have dancefloors though, so perhaps they'd be places to start off the night before heading somewhere that does have a place to dance?

Just read that as "place" not places, and about the only place that fits all those that I can think of is Lotus.
