has anyone been to the "Tuttle Pool"?

I can't believe I've never heard of this pool. It's close to my house and seems to cost a dollar to get in? Is this too good to be true?
anyone?

It's been there forever and a day. That was where I learned to swim a long time ago. It is a decent pool right in the middle of campus. you will find a mixture of kids that didn't go home for the summer from OSU and little kids whose parents don't want them home for the summer. otherwise I'm sure the water/urine ratio is comparible to any of the public facilities.
I never knew until we owned a hot tub that all of that white foam you see at public facilities shouldn't be there. Basically all of those people are sitting in churning pee and other bodily secretions. Of course it also ruined me on social gatherings at pools or otherwise.
Tuttle Pool is awesome. And - it opens today at 1:30 pm for its summer season.
Last summer I went multiple times a week. The public pool setting takes me back to my childhood. Besides that - instead of sneaking into various apartment complex/condo pools, I am actually legally swimming at Tuttle.
To swim you will have to obtain a Columbus Parks & Rec Leisure Card for the price of $1.00. After that every time you go swimming it is a cost of 50 cents. Make sure you bring quarters for the turn stiles!
thanks for the info, sound like a good spot! I'll have to check it out. Does it get very busy?
Any other Public pool secrets around town?
The indoor Aquatic Center in Victorian Village is closed for the summer, but will open in the fall/winter when you'll REALLY be looking for a pool to use. ;)
Public Pool= :)
All I can think about are various diseases people may have and being in similar water----I do not care if there is chlorine Your skin absorbs the water after 20 minutes .....not healthy.
Public pools are gross, but not even close to to being as gross as public hot tubs.

hahahAHHAHAHAHAHA I have no idea why that is making me laugh so much!
I love pools. They are cold.
Walker, I adore you for your post. I've been living here for too long to not know where the pools are!
why do people think public pools are worse than any other pool besides maybe one in your backyard (if you are so lucky). Is it the volume of people using it??? I hate to break it to you, the people that go to your apt. pool piss in it also :P
I find all of them gross: public, apartment, hotel, basically anything but one you own. this explains why i have not been swimming in a long time, other than in lakes or the ocean, because i do not exactly know many people with their own pool.
the pool in grandview was really nice, I hope it's still there.

When I lived with my former spouse we had a pool and even then I did not like being in the water much...ocean, lakes, etc...

so you're pretty much saying all Public pools are so gross because you don't like to swim in general?
I don't think public pools would seem so bad if it were not for the Caddyshack scene.
its a baby ruth!
hot tubs and baby pools gross me out. pools not too much.
my friend has volleyball courts and a pool and no kids in her complex. i'll probably go there a lot. :)
