I've decided to pony up for a PS3, because if I'm paying $200 for a blu-ray player with built in wifi, I might as well buy one that can play some games.
I've already got a 360, so I'm not too worried about cross platform stuff, but can people suggest some exclusives or titles that are must-haves for it?

I'm in the same situation in that I just bought a ps3 a few weeks ago. So far these games have been awesome.
1. Crysis2(from what I have read the 360 version is better visually)
2. Uncharted 2
3. God of War 3
4. Metal Gear Solid 4

It really depends on what type of games you like. Here's a decent link to read up on the best titles on the system. You can ignore the cross-platform titles.

the uncharteds, the god of wars (gow1&2 hd remix was awesome) and metal gears are the obvious ones, and for good reason.
but don't miss the less-obvious-but-every-bit-as-worthy:
both little big planets are MUST haves. perfect gameplay, design and community aspects. and just effin' adorable.
all 3 ratchet and clank games for ps3 have been as amazing as playing a pixar movie. fer reals.
mod-nation racers takes the community aspect of little big planet to new heights, and lays it on top of the best mario-kart style game you'll ever play. for the 40 bucks or less it costs nowadays you get a couple of dozen pretty amazing courses and cars and as a bonus you get literally MILLIONS of user-created tracks, cars and drivers. it's pure crack. there's over a million online tracks alone. if you figure only 20% are amazing, that's a game with TWOHUNDREDFUCKINGTHOUSANDAMAZINGLEVELS. and if that ain't worth 40 bones, i don't know what is. . .
flow and flower are amazing downloadable zen-games. don't miss these.
the motorstorm games are beautiful, arcadey racing adrenalin. diamonds lost in the pile of amazing games.
katamari forever. 'nuff said.
and later this year?
a new SSX game that's looking better every week, and even better . . .

I don't believe SSX is an exclusive.
People have hit a lot of the highlights already. I enjoyed the GOW HD remix disc a lot having never played those before. Uncharted 2 is amazing with the third coming out later this year.
Some others not mentioned you may want to check out.(haven't played all of these) Killzone 2 and 3, Resistance 1 and 2, inFamous, WipeoutHD, Heavy Rain, Valkyria Chronicles.
Also The Last Guardian, the much anticipated spiritual successor to Shadows of the Colossus is supposed to come out this year and is a PS3 exclusive (as of now).

I enjoyed inFamous for a while but it got kinda old towards the end. No love for Demon's Souls, anyone?... :(
Crysis 2 is amazing. I really don't think it makes that much of a difference between ps3 and 360. I've seen it on both.
