As the Protect Marriage bus makes its stop in Columbus today, come down and help out with the counter-protest!

The bus stop:

Columbus, Ohio
Summer for Marriage Tour Stop:
Friday, July 23, 2010 from 12:00pm Ã¢â‚¬â€œ 1:00pm
State House, South Lawn
Columbus, OH 43215

Counter protesters are encouraged to come at 11:30 to organize.

People protesting same sex marriage.

People trying to drown out and derail people exercizing their right to gather and free speach.

uhhhm, actually yeah I do.

Let the nutjobs* speak, everyone has a right to their opinion. If you want to protest their protest, do it with you own protest.

Actually, I think it's more fear based. I think that folks like these actually FEAR non-hetero anything, because they have built their entire lives on traditional religious beliefs - to think anything else is to denigrate their existence.

In other news, I've always thought that the folks that hated the geighs the most were most likely the deepest on the DL. Larry Craig, I'm looking at you!

Most of the counter protests I have seen is the 'counter' guys trying to drown out or disrupt the others. Rarely have I seen them keeping peacfully to their own areas and giving each one a chance to speak.

How about anti gay marriage from 11:30 - 12:30

My husband and I always like to joke that the gay couple across the street (and the couples who live directly behind us, on the next street south) are hurting our marriage. For example, it's Rob and Tyler's fault that we had a tiff about when we're going to visit Husband's parents in South Carolina. Because Rob and Tyler are gay, you see.

Rob and Tyler's beautiful lawn and garden also put our weed-choked lawn to shame. Because they're gay.

by "most" do you mean the _one_ from P'town or the _one_ in Albany? just because those are the ones being shown repeatedly, those aren't the only ones that occurred...the one in New York, New Jersey, and Maryland have been silent.

Most of the people in their ads on their bus are actors. and by "most" I mean ALL.
