Probably should have posted something before the concert, but -
The Dispatch wrote ProMusica ushered in its 30th anniversary season with a performance reminiscent in some ways of its inaugural concert.First and foremost was the man at the helm. Conductor Timothy Russell was a ProMusica co-founder and its music director from the outset.
ProMusica's programming also manifested the hallmarks of its history: an equal commitment to the great works of the past and to contemporary music and young artists. It's a balancing act that has resulted in a steadily growing command in both areas of the repertoire.
With all the negative ink surrounding the state of the CSO, I thought I should remind folks that ProMusica continues to kick ass. Different animal, but a consistently high performing, interesting local gem.
Launched in August 2010, TheMetropreneur.com is a local online resource devoted to small business development and entrepreneurship. Its aim is to tell the stories of Central Ohio's business community, foster regional economic development and assist entrepreneurs with its resource-heavy focus.
