Primer is a sci-fi movie that concentrates more on plot than special effects. It WILL confuse the crap out of you (at least, it did me), but that makes it all the more enjoyable as you have to think a bit more about the plot and the potential possibilities/consequences if it were a reality. The sets are every day normal and lighting/sound aren't necessarily the best, but considering this was an independent film with a $7k budget those issues are easily overlooked. Overall a very well written sci-fi flick.

Meh. They showed this at the Sci-Fi Marathon a couple years ago.
The concept of how time travel works in Primer is really cool, and things get out to an interesting (if somewhat slower) start... but then things get so twisted up and convoluted that it just got well past the point of enjoyable for me.
At the end I just wanted to get in the box, go back in time, and tell myself to skip this one. ;)
If you ARE interested in seeing it (or already have), I recommend this timeline (or "Primer Primer") for help in maintaining your sanity.
