The debate was interesting. The gloves were off against Romney. Perry actually managed to be forceful, and didn't stumble the way he has been. Newt is still hitting the "food stamp president" message hard.
Juan Williams was one of the moderators, and they had him ask every question that concerned race and/or immigration - which all by itself seemed a little off, but on top of that, the audience would actually boo him for asking such things. It was crazy. Some conservatives (tea partiers) that I follow on Twitter were actually blaming Juan for asking such things - that he was asking inappropriate questions (immigration policy?).
If you were judging a state, based on their audience at one of these debates, South Carolina would not be looking so great.
