A friend called tonight to see if I have power. Apparently the power is out near the Whitehall area. Anyone know the occasion?
I don't know of any wind/storms and it's not that hot...

They're just going green.
Any idea what happened?
It was a mynock chewing through the power cables.
We lost power Sunday night in Olde Towne East, a little while after the thunderstorms blew through town.
I was in Pittsburgh this weekend and the hotel I was staying at randomly lost power for an hour on Saturday. No storms in the area and it wasn't super hot. Hooray for our third world electric grid!
I heard a squirrel got into a sub station and met his demise.
It was something to do with the Etna Rd. substation, not sure of the details. It was out for almost 2 hours. Since we dont run our A/C, only ceiling fans, it didnt really bother us, but the neighbors were sweating it out.
