I have been working on the concept of having a meet-and-greet event for all of the various arts groups in town, as well as individuals and groups that are developing arts related projects. This would provide a chance for everyone to become acquainted with the groups and the people that make them up. I see it as an opportunity for everyone to compare notes, and possibly find ways to collaborate and pool resources.
There will be a planning meeting for the Columbus Arts Group Meet and Greet this Sunday the 9th at The Main Library Auditorium from 1 to 2:30 pm. This meeting is being held to brainstorm on issues regarding the best location, date, and format for the event; as well as coordinating volunteers and the promotion of the event. This meeting is open to all that feel they have something to contribute!
The Main Library is located at 96 S Grant Ave, and the auditorium is on the first floor.
Launched in August 2010, TheMetropreneur.com is a local online resource devoted to small business development and entrepreneurship. Its aim is to tell the stories of Central Ohio's business community, foster regional economic development and assist entrepreneurs with its resource-heavy focus.
