Hi Friends,
I am in charge of planning a 40th birthday party for a friend. Unfortunately, the host is unable to host anymore, and I am looking for a venue in Columbus to hold the party at. It will be on a Friday night, preferably centered around dinner. However, most of our friends have children (6 and under) so I am looking for a place that is kid-friendly too.
Any suggestions?

budget isn't as big of an issue as having a place that kids would be welcome, and on a friday night. the guest of honor is not a spaghetti warehouse fan, unfortunately :-/

I'd check into renting out Wild Goose. If budget isn't an issue, you could get it catered or do a potluck...something like that.

I have seen a bunch of birthday parties at Buca with kids scurrying about. I have also seen several at Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill (a giant place which is pretty dead on Fridays). Another place you might consider is Barley's on 33, they have a room that they used to loan out to large groups for free.

I haven't been there in years, but you might try Berwick Manor Party House. You'd have to rent out a room there, but the food is good, and you'd have the room all to yourself. It's also local and still owned by the people who started it. I think they have private rooms of all sizes there.
Other than that, places like Buca and Spaghetti Warehouse (which to be honest, are pretty similar in my mind) are all that really suggest themselves.
