for the record, those clever crows were gary's new harvest pie with a spiced winter squash pate, roasted red potatoes, balsamic onions, sweet corn, smoked provolone and mozz. cookie also brought one with his housemade redwine/fennel sausage on it for the carnivores. the veg is DAMN good, but the sausage one just might have the best balance of savory over sweet that i've ever had on a pizza.
I had a great time and really enjoyed the evening - and it didn't hurt that I won stuff. :)
Thanks to CMHG, CU, and Wild Goose!
I somehow missed the fried chicken pizza. Guess that means I need to go hit Pizza Rustica soon...
Sounds like a great time (as always), sorry that work meant I couldn't make it.
Props to CMHGourmand for keeping the tradition alive!

CMH Gourmand is the engine behind this. Heard quite a few people last night saying that it's one of their favorite events in town, so perhaps it won't be the final edition. ;)
And thanks again to the fine folks at Wild Goose Creative for hosting. They're making Columbus a much cooler place with all that they do. Buy a shirt or make a donation to show them some support! :D

Great event! We had a lot of fun! Thanks to CMH Gourmand for organizing. Hopefully, there will be a 7th edition next year!

Thanks, there really wasn't room to write all that out anyway. Also, thanks to Gary for donating the sausage pizza!

brezel will be bringing some homemade pretzel pizza! not sure what we're topping our pies with yet...These were SUPER good!
thanks -- we had fun making them!
we had a fab time at pizza grand prix 6. while messing with toppings for our brezel pizzas... may have stumbled on some new pretzel recipes!
thanks again for a great night!
I think I've finally recovered from my pizza coma.
That was a great time, and I'm now inspired to start making a lot more pizza! My only regret is that so many of the homemade pizzas disappeared so quickly that I didn't get to try them all. Thank you for the honorable mention, and I'm glad you enjoyed the box. :-)
So, I went, I won and it was great fun. I told a couple of people that because I'm shy the only way to make myself show up for the Pizza Grand Prix was to make a pizza so that I had no excuses for not going. So now I feel more comfortable about going to something else, joining in for the different meet ups, etc.
Thanks, Becky

I am very glad to hear that. It was an absolute horrible day for me so I was happy to see people having a good time and meeting new people. Mission accomplished.
