Not sure what the word "desecration" is doing in your message, but it seems odd in the extreme. Exactly what is it you want to do with these cats???? It doesn't seem kosher to advertise them here, but I'll leave that up to a higher authority.
I think she's just trying to find homes for them. Good luck!
so just so I'm clear on all this, you had TWELVE cats...now you can't keep them...and you want none.
This is why people should have to take a test before they get pets.
I think if I did the math right, they are keeping three???
I dunno.
I'd take one if cats didn't kinda suck.
kidding.
sorta.
One we lost to cancer, one was sent to a new home since he liked to bully our others. One went to my mother in law.

why would it not be kosher to advertise them here? I am trying to get the word out to any one willing to give them a loving home. Yes, we started with twelve. We used to own our own home and we had room for them. One we put to sleep because she had cancer that spread throughout her body. Another that happens to be her mother is old and will probably have to be put down. She has been sick so I didn't mention her in my blog to be adopted. I don't want to adopt out a sick cat. We want to keep two. Thanks!!
12 cats is too many. The fact that you realized that and now want to own two cats is pretty much proof of that.
I hope people do take the cats from you, because you are clearly unfit to take care of pets at a level that is normal and healthy.
Crazy person.

I agree-there should be some kind of test. We resuced all of our cats and know we are asking for help in finding new homes for six of them. Two we rescued from someone that had 23 and all were living outside. The siblings to these cats were the victim of wolves or ??? no one knows since they were left outside to fend for themselves in the country with 23 other cats in the middle of winter with several feet of snow. The mother cat is sick, old and I didn't mention her because I don't want to adopt out a sick cat. We rescued her several years ago and she was near dead. She got pregnant before we could get her to the vet to be spayed. We kept all of her kittens. One of them was the one I had to put to sleep because of cancer. I am keeping one of them and hoping to find homes for the two others. I wanted to find homes for them when they were kittens but my husband wanted to keep them. The one I gave to my mother in law was also a rescue from outside that my dog found in a hole in my backyard. He was dirty, covered in bugs and very sick and skinny. We took him to the vet the same day and he is extremely healthy today! We kept him for five years. My mother in law loves having him and I am happy he is with her. I believe he was a kitten of one of my old neighbors cats. She had so many that she couldn't keep track, they never went to the vet, they were always outside fighting and I know none of them ever got spayed. She had at least fifteen. So, you see I am not the one that needs a test. Thanks for your concern. Imagine my suprise when I got an email from "desecration" about possibly wanting a cat. Silly me for putting the user name in the post.

read again dum dum
we have nine
and yes, nine is still too many
they are all normal and healthy
thanks for your concern
guess no one here is really interested in helping
only judging
Don't judge everyone based on me, cause I'm just me.
and so, what I am a crazy person
because I took in unloved and unwanted cats???
Reality check here people
if you bothered to read the blog you should see
they are healthy and we are looking for new homes
thats all
I know lots of folks who have operated cat rescues out of their home. I'm grateful for all people who do; it's important, especially in cities like Columbus who have more shelters for dogs than cats. I know one woman who has fostered 10-15 kitties for the past twenty years. She takes animals due to be put down by the local shelter. We adopted one from her. Many people are able to do this responsibly. When circumstances change unexpectedly and that's no longer possible, there's nothing wrong with trying to see that those animals go to a good place.
Please notice that tera@bg didn't really just go adopt/buy a bunch of animals, but was trying to rescue/foster cats, which she appears to have done just fine at until circumstances changed and it was no longer feasible.
If I had the means and room, I would certainly take in more animals. Right now I have two and I can preach all day long that I would never, ever, EVER give them up, but if I lost my home it wouldn't really be a choice. Also, I have to thank my S.O. for telling me not to take in more animals. I'm an idiot who gets upset and would try to take in more animals than I can handle. Thankfully, he's more in touch with reality.
However, if anyone does want to get angry about people who view pets as semi-disposable, like cell phones, just browse the Pets section of Craigslist. It makes me want to barf.

The blog findahomeformypets.com will no longer be viewable as everyone wants to rant and judge and not help. The post "pics of kitties for desecration" should have read pics of kitties for username "desecration". So sorry for the confusion. I created the blog so I could tell the stories, post pics and hopefully find loving homes. Imagine my anger when I got called crazy! I rescued all of my cats and want to find new homes for them. So, I guess I am crazy just like the other hundreds of thousands of people looking for new homes for thier pets. Check craigslist and you will see numerous postings!
C'mon folks. Leave the personal insults out of this.

That was seriously uncalled for.
I'm going to stick up for Tera here. This happens really easily. Because we have had kittens in the past and have cats and take care of the neighborhood cats, we sometimes become the go-to resort for people who find cats wandering around or kittens left in the elements. It is very hard to say no, and it is hard for people when we turn them down and they have to take them to the humane society.
We live close to campus and there are all sorts of cats dumped out by their owners when they leave town for the summer or forever. We have a whole range of tame, loving kitties living in the alley because they've been left behind. We take care of these cats - feed them and take them to the vet if they need it, but they don't come in the house. Some people consider those cats "my" cats, even though they live outside.
Sometimes it seems as though it would be more likely to place a kitty if we take it in than if it goes to Cat Welfare or the Humane Society. Then if you take in a kitty and she turns out to be pregnant, before you know it you have a mess on your hands. The fault really lies with irresponsible owners who toss their cats out without getting them fixed, or leaving them behind when they move.
