The Alive wrote People to WatchBy Brian Lindamood
In a special edition on July 17, we're going to delve even deeper into these issues, and introduce you to some of the faces who are playing a big role in the future of this city, with our first People to Watch issue.
Fans of Alive's annual Bands to Watch issue will recognize the format. Every January we honor musicians who are poised to have a big year and make Columbus' vibrant music scene even more interesting and exciting. Now we want to do the same for city life.
For our People to Watch issue, we'll be honoring Entrepreneurs and Good Neighbors, Troublemakers and Trendsetters, Big Thinkers and Risk Takers. We're even looking for Networkers and Bloggers  Columbus residents who are plugged in to these issues, and are helping to connect all of us to possible solutions.
Most of all, we want to recognize people who are working hard to make Columbus a better place to live.
We've written a lot (and read a lot) about the local arts scene, streetcars, Downtown housing, the future of City Center, efforts to retain young professionals and plans to make Columbus more attractive for college grads. Now we want to introduce the people who are actually making these things happen.
And we need your help. Through June 30, we're asking you to submit People to Watch nominations at ColumbusAlive.com. Let us know about the big ideas that haven't yet percolated to the surface. Tell us about your friends and colleagues who are working hard to improve this city. Hell, nominate yourself  we won't tell anyone where we got your name.
Our goal is to really dig into these issues and celebrate previously unknown People to Watch. We want to profile the Columbus residents you might not have heard about yet, but who will be making a big difference in the years to come.

You guys know any good people to watch that are making Columbus a better city to live?
