Okay, so I feel sort of lame for posting this here, but my wife asked me to. And, since I'm such a good husband...
Can anyone give recommendations on pediatricians? We're looking for one currently and would like suggestions, if you've had a particularly good experience with one. We live in 5xNW/Grandview area and would love to have the Dr. close to home (e.g., not in Powell).

Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine on Reed between Bethel and Henderson. We usually see Dr Whittaker, but all the Drs. are great. They can always get you in same day. They have a get acquainted/sales pitch thingie that wouldn't hurt. Vaccinations ARE painful (for parent AND child) no matter what, though they do have a pretty tempting prize drawer...

I was going to recommend this practice as well. My daughter sees Dr. Gray and we really like her. They also have separate waiting rooms for well and sick children, which I really like.

HA! I was just looking up this info for a pal of mine as well, and the recommendation was the same. Her main ped was Dr. Whittaker, but she eventually saw all of the doctors there, and thought they were all great (4 kids, lots of time in the office).

Tri-Village Family Health is nearby. (Used to be right by Luck Bros which was great.)My son and I both see Dr. Trgovac.

I really like Olentangy Pediatrics (http://olentangypeds.com/) at Knightsbridge and Jasonway. Our doctor is Irene Koesters and she's incredibly sweet with the girls and always remembers things about them no matter how long it's been. There are 6 doctors, total, and we've seen two of them and really like them.
They have been great about getting us in to see the doctor the same day if I call in with a problem (weird skin rash 2x) and the nurses are available to answer all kinds of questions and give medical advice by phone.

We also use Olentangy Pediatrics, but we see Dr. Forsythe. I LOVE him. he has called us at home more than once to check on things when they were REALLY sick and REALLY tiny. I like that the appointments are almost always on time. plus, he's really cute

I'll recommend our ped, Dr. Sant at Whole Kid Pediatrics in Grandview. Hers is a single doc practice with a very sweet nurse and office manager. Dr Sant is well versed in alternative/natural practices if that's your thing though she provides traditional medical services as well.

When I was a kid I used to see Dr. Schultz. He's really not as scary as his photo. I'd recommend him.

Thanks. I don't always do the right thing, but I try to do right by her at least.
And, thank you everybody for the suggestions thus far. Some actually take my insurance, which is important.

I'm biased, as my wife is one of the physicians there, but OSU Med-Peds is located right at King and Northwest and has a very good practice. Just like Tri-Village, all the physicians are Med-Peds (meaning they are board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics). I am also familiar w/ some of the physicians at both Tri-Village and Olentangy Pediatrics and would have no problems recommending either one.
One caveat w/ OSU Med-Peds is that they are actively looking for a larger building and could very well be moving w/in the next 1-2 years.

We see Dr. Katharine Turner, who is a family practitioner with Village Family Medicine located at 1299 Olentangy River Road (office directly behind Cap City, through their parking lot). She's really nice and down to earth and really comforting to talk about baby/kid issues with as she has a few kids of her own and has been through most of the same things that we've gone through as new(ish) parents. It's mostly been really easy to schedule appointments to see her quickly when one of the kids come down with something.
Plus, it's pretty close to the 5xNW/Grandview area. ;)

Another recommendation for Tri-Village Family Health - we see Dr. Courser, but have also seen each of the other physicians in the practice at one time or another. They are now located on 33/Riverside Dr. just south of 5th. I miss their old location right in the heart of Grandview, but the new building is MUCH better.

I'll jump on the Olentangy Pediatrics bandwagon. Dr. Koester's is my son's physician and we absolutely love her. Olentangy Ped's has "meet the doctor's nights", so you can go in and talk with the pediatricians, prior to signing on with one.
