Did you head over today, Walker? If so, was there more than one produce vendor? Pickings were pretty lean last year.

True, the season is early. :) But last June I only recall only one produce vendor when I visited, and hoping for more this year.

Last season was a rough growing season with unseasonably cold weather. Weather has been really helpful this years and the growing season is about 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Two of the farmers had strawberries already. There was also asparagus, ample greens, radishes, herbs, onions, tomatoes (grown in the greenhouse). Ohio Farm Direct is also back with cheese and sausage.

A sunny 80 degree Friday afternoon in mid-August can yield a vibrant lunchtime stroll in Downtown Columbus. Office workers scramble for the best patio seating, shoppers stroll the Pearl Market for produce and gift items, and retail shops prop their doors open to lure in new visitors. We ventured out for lunch today and decided to capture some of the energy of the city in a quick photo gallery.
