Did anyone watch this new NBC show tonight? I thought it was pretty good. Esp. for a pilot.

Big Amy Poehler fan, and it provided a few good laughs. Jury still out, but looking forward to future episodes. "Upskirt Photo"...LOL

Has a lot of the aspects I liked about The Office that I think are lost now, so I'm gonna stick with it a while.

I was expecting Aziz Ansari to be a lot funnier.

I didn't really like it. It felt like Office-lite. And yes, that was probably what the writers were going for. I thought the funniest part was the public meeting scene; however, I have been to about a million of those and know how brutal they can be. The good news at least it isn't another cop show.

i thought some of Aziz's lines, or at least his delivery, were pretty funny

Thanks for the hulu link - I watched it there. Not too bad. Amy Poehler is adorable and it had some funny bits, for sure.

I thought it was pretty funny. A lot of the humor was very subtle, which is a good sign. Getting to know the characters over time makes the slightest subtle gestures all the funnier, and I can see this show heading in that direction. I agree with Core that The Office originally had the same style, and there is still some of that showing through, but many of the gags have grown so outlandish that they completely overtake any subtleties that remain.
I'll keep watching.

I thought he was very funny in that show with limited screen time. So I expect him to be funny in this show going forward, when he has a little more to do/say.

Ansari was a racist fruit vendor in an episode of Flight of the Conchords. I look forward to seeing him more often.
I loved the Bobby Knight poster in their boss's office.

The visiting delegation from Venezuela episode was over the top, but laugh out loud funny. The gift of High-fructose corn syrup was painfully funny and the follow up..where can we see this administered to all your obese american children?

This show is def. picking up steam. Very funny so far this year IMO.

Not much discussion on this show in awhile, but last nights was really funny. This is the best sitcom on TV right now IMO. The cast is phenomenal. It's a shame NBC didn't order a full season this year (for whatever reason).

I'm going to have to try to get back into it. Watched most of the first (short) season and then forgot about it. ;)

I think it's so funny, because it could actually be true, unlike The Office. I agree - it's the best show on TV right now.

The Office had more of the realism thing going on during the first 2-3 seasons. After that it started to get more outlandish, especially with Dwight and Michael. Hopefully Parks & Rec doesn't follow that same path...
