I noticed the ad here... anyone else going to go see it this weekend? I'm thinking Saturday night if I'm not too tired from tailgating.
Looks cool to me, but I love this kind of shit.

i love this kind of shit too! i can't wait!
ha, that trailer was enough for me. I shouldn't have even watched that! eek.
sweet!
Only showing at midnight makes for a loooong saturday.
Who needs a film when you can get the real thing at home.
I love stuff like that too. If only because I can ususally laugh at it.
My favorite is watching Ghost Hunters on Hulu-- they'll be in a giant building that's been pretty much abandoned for years, hear a slight skittering in the distance-- "WHAT WAS THAT. I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT NOISE WAS. OH MY GOD." Well, have you ever heard of this thing called animals? It's what lives in a house after we leave.
Yeah, I love that kind of stuff.
I just got an email about a prescreening on thursday.
Great trailer! It reminded me of The Blair Witch Project. Definitely going to go see this.
Hey vestanpance, any details you can share on the prescreening thursday?
manatee, i love watching Ghost Hunters for the same reason! i always say "It's raccoons! RACOONS!!"

As long as we're talking Ghost Hunters, it's been a long time since I've seen it, but they seemed to generally debunk most hauntings. Except for the episodes in the lighthouse and the tuberculosis hospital, which scared the living shit out of me.
I really can't handle scary stuff, but I used to have a roommate that just loved it. I freaked myself out a few weeks ago by watching some of this.

ya thanks for the link. Watched the first 3, pretty freaky and well done.
This looks like a nice combination of Ghostwatch and The Navidson Record. Which means that while I'm impressed and overjoyed that Studio 35 is playing this (one of only a handful of theatres across the nation), I probably won't go see the opening... I'd like to be able to sleep for the next few weeks. I mean, that scene from The Haunting with the face in the wallpaper still scares the hell out of me.
But it's always nice to hear about a psychological horror movie doing more with less. So, uh... somebody tell me how it goes? :)
By the way, there's an anecdote floating around that Spielberg became convinced his copy of the screener DVD was haunted. I think that's just adorable.
I'm going to the screening tonight, anyone else?
