For local outdoor-types who enjoy the 'silent sports' a new event is being held at the Ohio Expo Center's Lausche Building that caters to people who like to paddle canoes and kayaks, hike, camp in tents or small campers, or cycle the trails and hills of Ohio. It's called PaddlePalooza! Ohio's Outdoors Expo" (www.paddlepalooza.com)and will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 30 and from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, May 1. The event features a large demo pool for kayaks, a demo Subaru for use showing all the ways to load bikes, camping gear and boats on vehicles, and workshops on hiking, camping, biking and kayaking -- as well as a paddlesports film festival. Should be fun!
